A Preferential Study of Key Factors Using Fuzzy TOPSIS for Implementation of E-Manufacturing
The market is becoming more challenging and customer oriented with each passing day. Customers want products with good quality at minimum price in shortest possible period of time. Also customer wants some extra features added along with the required basic features of product. In order to meet these requirements of customer the implementation of e-manufacturing become very important. Using e-manufacturing, the quality of product can be increased and world class product can be manufactured with in shortest period of time while keeping the cost of manufacturing in check. In this paper the term e-manufacturing is explained and some key factors which are helpful in implementation of e-manufacturing have been identified. Views of different peoples working in industries are taken regarding the importance of each factor. The importance of each factor is analyzed with the help of fuzzy topsis method and preference is provided to each factor regarding the successful implementation of e-manufacturing.
