Geological Parameter Monitoring Application Based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) Using GSM Smartphone
Abstract
A Methane (CH4) concentration monitoring system is developed based on the technologies of wireless sensor networks in allusion to the gas leakage monitoring requirement for sewage tunnel application. The monitoring system composed of a central processing unit (CPU), air environment sensor array, secure digital memory card storage module, liquid crystal display module and global system for mobile communication wireless transmission module. The sensor array of CH4, temperature and light intensity are used collect data from environment. The processing unit is automatically stores the collected information in the secure digital memory card storage module and displays them on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) in real time. Afterwards the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) module continuously transmits the collected information to the data center server through wireless communication. The GSM module is used in the Smartphone and monitoring the gas level. Relay module is connected to microcontroller then it should connected to Solenoid valve when parameter is gone to abnormal stage relay can be switched the valve and controls the parameters level
