Experimental Study and Implementation of a Closed-Loop Control System for Coriolis Mass Flow Meter
Abstract
This paper says about maintaining vibration of the coriolis[1] mass flow meter. This type of flow meter is widely used in food, petroleum industries etc. Earlier some techniques developed but it is not widely used in industries because of bad anti-jamming, slow response speed and high zero drift in conventional analog closed loop system. This problem is highly effect in the measurement of flow and density. In order to avoid this problem the “Novel Digital Closed Loopâ€[3] control system method is introduced in the coriolis mass flow meter. The digital closed-loop control system is implemented utilizing MDAC to track the frequency and phase of vibration pick-up signal in real time. The control effects of the conventional PI control method and pre-tuned parameter PI control method are compared mutually. The parameters of conventional PI control method are fixed, whereas pre-tuned parameter PI control method adjusts parameters according to the error with certain rules, so its response speed is faster. Real flow calibration experiments and response speed experiments demonstrate that the digital closed-loop under the control of pre-tuned parameter PI controller owns the maximum steady state relative error and repeatability of 0.147% and 0.039% respectively, and the start-up time of measuring tube can reach to 2.75s.
