Design and Optimized Analysis of Digital Eight Shaped Coaxial Probe Fed Micro Strip Patch Antenna for Ultra-Wideband Applications
Abstract
In this paper, a Digital Eight shaped slot Rectangular microstrip patch antenna is presented for Ultra-wideband applications. The antenna is printed on a dielectric substrate, and a 50 Ω coaxial probe feed is used for feeding. Simulation of antenna is done by using IE3D software package of Zeland, as per the set size. By the analysis of Digital eight shaped microstrip patch antenna with coaxial probe feeding, the simulated outcomes show that the antenna can be realized for Ultra-wide band characters. It poses a broad impedance bandwidth (VSWR ≤ 2) of about 67.28% (2.867 GHz – 5.774 GHz). The proposed antenna can be used in the UWB (3.1–10.6 GHz), WLAN, Satellite communication (4-6 GHz) frequency bands and Hyper LAN 802.11a
