Electronic Wallet: Effective Search Enabling Complete View of Personal Information
Abstract
In todays world people are more concerned about money, bank accounts, financial information, health information, credit cards, insurance etc. All these information need to be kept protected by passwords. So there is a requirement of password manager, this can be available and trusted by the eWallet. eWallet serves many services which helps in completely protecting all the confidential informations. The protection level is from the time of buying the eWallet and continues in every ascepts when it is used. eWallet is available on a iPhone, iPod touch and even online eWallet that is available on Internet. Secure storage for passwords, usernames, PINs, high level of encryption is supported, so that the data cannot be accessed by the unauthenticated persons. A eWallet refers to an electronic device that allows an individual to make electronic commerce transactions. The transactions mainly include purchasing items on-line with a computer or using a Smartphone to purchase something at a store. Increasingly, eWallets are being made not only for financial transactions but to also authenticate the holders credentials. For example, a eWallet could potentially verify the information like age of the cardholder while purchasing any products. An individuals bank account can also be linked to the eWallet. One can also store their drivers license, health card, loyalty card(s) and other ID documents stored on the phone. The credentials can be passed to a merchants terminal wirelessly via near field communication (NFC). There is a lot of functionality in eWallet in which various information like credit card, debit card, passwords and account numbers are stored. Each card information can be unique and contains standard as well as custom information. For example a credit card record contains information that would generally be found on a credit card, such as number and expiration date, but can also contain other information about the account you may want to keep. eWallet also provides suggestions for some fields to make them easier to fill in, such as card type. Even with all of eWallets features, security and backup are still important. eWallets are password protected and according to the website, data is backed up when you sync your iPhone. While eWallet also synchronizes data between iPhone and eWallet on Windows PC
